It isn't down deep but rather just in the outer part. I have never had this sensation before and it is annoying.
Has anyone had this?
Thanks.

Mine do it and have been since I was a child - People used to say "someone is talking about me" but it is not true.
Mine is a premonition. I know that whenever my ears burn something going to happen to someone close to me I have tracked it. Here are some examples:
When I was a teen I got caught smoking cigarettes.
My best friend had an awful fight with her parents.
Her mother was in a car crash and died days later.
I got caught skipping school.
I got pulled over for speeding - Thank God I was drinking at the time. (I think it was at this point I started to figure out that everytime my ears burned, something was going to happen)
My friend and co-worker's house burned down.
My sister and I had a BAD fight that lasted months.
One Christmas on my way home - after my ears burned - I thought I was gonna not have anything bad happen when our car was stopped on an old back road, well a rollback drove by with one of my friends car all crunched up on it - spent the rest of the xmas eve at the ER.
2 other friends were in a car crash one summer.
This past August a co-worker close to me was cycling and broke his neck - C1 - same as Christopher Reeves. My friend/co-worker luckily can move things.
All these things happened within a 24 hour period of my ears burning
There are so many instances that are related to my ear burning that because I am a Christian I have finally learned to pray about it and see if there is anything that I can do to prevent anything.
I just thought this info may help - maybe not.
Good luck.

Not all of these are true. I'm not sure about all of them, but I'll point out the ones I'm certain are false. Mythbusters, which is notoriously unscientific, demonstrated the ability to "train" goldfish, implying their memory capacity is greater than 3 seconds. Sharks' eyelids are fixed so they can't blink per se, but they do possess what is called a nictating membrane to protect the eyes when feeding. Kneecaps develop while in the womb. Even if February 1865 is the only month not to have a full moon (which I doubt) it's really just a matter of probability as to when it will happen again. New animals most certainly have been domesticated, though perhaps not in the forms you might imagine. We generally think in terms of big things like cows, but in recent years we've created bomb-sniffing bees, plump salmon for fisheries, and presumably a lot of other things which don't immediately come to my mind. Moreover, we've domesticated a whole host of new plants in just the last century. The QE2's fuel consumption probably depends on what she's doing at the moment, just in the same way your car uses more gas when you're accelerating. In the middle of a cruise with all her momentum, I doubt this figure. Though Niagra Falls has frozen solid, it was in 1848, not 1932. That's not to say it didn't (and doesn't) get pretty icy. Women and men blink at an average of 10 times a minutes. No difference there. Hope that helps.

I get this problem consistantly. It has happened for a while, more than a few years. I know a friend and a teacher who has this problem, but the doctors think we are just crazy. It happens whenever I touch my ears, and sometimes just randomly. DONT put water/ice on it. Use an ice pack if possible, but water can get into your ear drum and make you deaf. Ice will melt and do the same.

mild frostbite?? sounds odd, but i once got mild frostbite on my cheek when it was not actually freezing, just extremely ice-cold wind +rain. i had to keep the affected area covered by some greasy cream to get rid of that funny burning feeling and it got worse whenever i went out and cold air got to it.
