im writting a research paper and as you may know i have to cite the work i used (parenthetical citation) anyway can anyone tell me how to place a paraghraph symbol in the paper?

example: "lalala lala" ( Smith *paraghraph symbol thingy here* 7).

p.s not sure if i posted on the right category

yeah, my professor wants us to use the symbol

Does your teacher/professor require that you insert the actualy symbol?? In college, when we had to cite our sources that way we could just put something along the lines of (Smith Par:7)

If you do need to in sert the symbol, click on the Insert Button on the Tool Bar and choose Symbol. In the drop down box, make sure that it says "Symbol" then click on the Special Characters Tab that is just above the drop down box. You should see the word "Paragraph" not too far down and the symbol to the left. click to highlight and then click on the Insert button.
