Honestly you should let her know....Just let her know that you are doing it because you love her and you would rather her hear it from you than from anyone else.
If you were in her place would you like it if your girl had a problem with your breath and didn't tell you about it?
Just be sensitive in the way you tell her, don't make it a problem or make her feel that you scorn her because of it.
That's all a part of being in a relationship...being able to communicate with your lover!
Good Luck

This is such a hard one,I had the problem with a guy once,I broke up with him- which probably was not the best thing to do.Although I know it really does affect the relationship. I always carry gum because I HATE bad breath,a few people have suggested it and you should try offering her a piece everytime you see her, and if that doesnt work say in a jokey way 'your breath smells funny what did you eat?', she will probably be a bit embarassed but thats better than sitting down with her and saying ' your breath stinks'. Most girls would freak out if they thought there breath smelt so she will probably check it out after you make a little comment.

Breath problem that doesn't go away with a mint usually mean underlining bigger problems. Tell your gf your concerns for her and that'll you'll still be there during and after her treatments. This can strengthen your relationship and solve the problem.

Telling a girl that her breath stinks would not be hurtful if you're not telling her while looking like you want to hold back a laugh.

Take up a gum chewing habit. And offer her a piece of gum when you chew. Don't punish her when she's got stinky breath, but praise her when she smells good.

Maybe make a big deal about YOUR personal hygeine (like carry a toothbrush around with you and brush your teeth after meals, etc) and she'll pick up the habit from you.

If all else fails, mention it to one of her friends and the news will get back to her. But if you do that, do it in a REALLY nice way, and make it seem like you're the one with the problem, and not her. Maybe say something like "I hope she doesn't think I'm cold and I don't like her, but I'm finicky about kissing people if their breath isn't minty."

Just be kind in what you do. You don't want to scare her off. Good luck!

It is never easy to tell anyone they have bad breath. I would start simply by saying, you know I adore you. But honey, your breath needs a bit of freshening. Offer a mint and smile.

make an appointment with your dentist for a regular check up and take her with you. tell the dentist about her problem and when he checks her up he can know why and then he can tell her that she has got a problem that MIGHT cause her breath to have a bad smell and am sure she will do her best to get a treatment.

Keep a pack of breath mints/Listerine strips handy. Pull one out for yourself, and offer her one. If she declines, insist with a look that says, "no, really, take one."

DON'T. Suggest that you brush together and do an oral hygiene habit together. Or you might want to bring her to a doctor or dentist, just in case there's something wrong with her gums or digestion.

Don't tell her. Just carry gum/mints/tic tac's on you at all times. Also you can get away with candy canes... and she will most likely look cute sucking on one.
