Is there something wrong with visiting her once a week like every Sunday? If she can drive you could go to her home every other week and her your home every other week. Keep close to your mother. Do not shut her out because of 40 miles from where you live. Plan a day and stick to it.

How often do you want to visit your mother? I think you must have some idea of the answer to your own question. It's not a matter of "should". It's a question of how you feel about your mother. Do you love her? Do you think she was a good mother? Did she do her best for you? Do you have a good relationship with her now? Only you know the answer to these questions.
It seems to me that if you had a good, loving mother, you would want to visit her often, of course, depending on other obligations and time constraints in your life.
If you did not have such a good relationship with your mother, of course, the desire to see her will be less. Let your conscience be your guide.

THAT DEPENDS ON WHAT KIND OF RELATIONSHIP YOU HAVE WITH UR MOM. YOU LIVE LIKE 30 MINUTES FROM HER, IF YOU HAVE A GOOD RELATIONSHIP WITH YOUR MOM TRY HAVING LUNCH A COUPLE TIMES A WEEK ON THE WEEKENDS GO TO HERE HOUSE AT LEAST ONE DAY. INVITE HER TO YOUR HOUSE OR GO PICK HER UP AND MAKE HER DINNER. YOU SHOULD VISIT AS OFTEN AS YOU CAN YOU NEVER KNOW WHAT TOMORROW WILL BRING. I ONCE LIVED 6 HOURS FROM MY MOM EVERY OTHER WEEKIEND I WOULD DRIVE TO HER HOUSE AND GAS WAS AT $3 A GALLON BUT THAT DIDN'T MATTER SPENDING THE TIME WITH HER WAS MORE IMPORTANT THAN ANY AMOUNT OF MONEY. ONCE SHE IS GONE ALL YOU HAVE IS MEMORIES HOW MANY MEMORIES WILL YOU HAVE?

once a week .......but u should talk aleast every other day
Your face will brighten her day even if u stay 10 min or just to take the trash out....she will love it
short visit (30min-1 hour is fine)....u dont want to kill the visit. Find the local mall or a favorite store to visit while in in the area and it wont feel like a chore to go see her

I would probably try to visit on the weekends, maybe Sundays would be a good time. How often really is up to you. My Mom is older so I try to visit a couple times a week. If I were you probably once a week.

As often as you want to. If you think you can't visit as often as you should then phone her to keep in touch. Also if you feel she needs some extra company at the moment for some reason you could ask your siblings (if you have any) or other relatives to help out by visiting her too.

Call her once a week visit twice a month. If you have kids, I would say try to visit as much as possible.

Maybe on the weekends. If you can't visit her as much, at least give her a call every other day to tell her you are thinking about her.

As often as you can. My mother died in 1994, and I miss her everyday. Life is too short to make regrets. I once read a quote,"One mother can care for 10 children, Why is it 10 children can't care for one mother."
