i bought frozen steaks from a company that delivers frozen meats and fish to your fish.they're individually packaged.she said to cook from frozen.can i defrost them first?

Yes. I think it's best to defrost them so that they will cook all the way through so they won't be burned on the outside and cold and uncooked on the inside.

Meat is better if brought to room tempature before cooking. You can also age it for a few days i9n the fridge. Take a plastic bowl and drill a hole every inch all the way round. Put the steak in and the top on and set in back of fridge for 3 to 4 days. You will have a tender aged steak to cook.

Defrost them in the fridge. Takes about 12-24 hours. I prefer to thaw my steaks so that I can marinate them before cooking.

Fish takes about the same to thaw.

Yes, you can thaw them. I wouldn't thaw them until you're ready to cook them though (don't leave them thawed in the fridge for days before cooking), especially the fish.

sure you could defrost it but dont let the fish sit out on the counter all day defrost in the frig.

definately thaw them out bfore cooking. if their individually packaged thaw them out in the package in cold water right bfore you cook them to be on the safe side
