who was my guy friend referring to when he said we all know thats not true?

i was said because my brothers step son called me ugly and stupid and i told my friend brian and he said we all know that isnt true

No one in particular, just he means everyone who knows you knows you aren't ugly. Just a figure of speech.

He saying that it's not true that your Ugly.
He himself is saying the words "i think you are pretty"
In otherwords he thinks you are pretty. :]]

BUT i also agree with the person above me.
I guess it just depends.
