would we have been better off if that concept did not exist?

What is this "virginity" you speak of? No, honestly, I'm sure it's some religious thing... ;-)

Virginity exist. It's not an idea created by any human being. It seems to me that you do not like the whole virginity thing. I hope you do know it's up to you to make your own choices about things like this and to take full responsiblity for whatever happends.i really do think waiting till after marriage is important because even though people do get divoreced, they actually made a commitment to each other and thought of living a life together. they have also lessened the risk of dilerberate cheating .

Virginity isn’t something that’s created by man or woman nor was it something that was made up. Virginity is something that is given. You are set that way. Yes, the thought or idea about virginity may arise from a man or woman but virginity as a whole isn’t man or woman bound.

That’s a choice in which a man or woman makes to defile someone else or to allow some to defile them, excluding the fact that if you are a child then the choice being of the other person to take that purity away from that child. They are making that choice and we all have that choice. You make that choice every single day. And, with that said, I believe when one is stricken from that purity not until they have been able to experience or learn who they are as a person, without being touched in that matter is very injuring to who you are as a person.

I mean, why thrust someone into a whole different experience when they haven’t been given the chance to learn who they are or like themselves as someone who is pure. Why take that from them? Why allow someone else to take that from you? If you experience, if you learn who you are that gives you the confidence that will help you excel in the next step. It’s like do we jog before we crawl, or what, for if you’re jogging before you crawl and you don’t tap into who you are you’ll just be cutting grass. You’ll never water it. You’ll never get to walk on it. You will just be cutting the grass because that’s all you allowed yourself to do.

As for, (would we have been better off if that concept did not exist?)… *closes her eyes and tries to picture a world without purity*

Oh wait, why do I have to close my eyes, Africa explains it all on the level of virginity as a sexual model. Need I say more?

paaatches –I’m still wondering what you where trying to get at for your inquiry wasn’t point in matter, so to speak. Virginity, to keep it, to not keep it… anyhow, I explained that up above, a choice one makes based on whatever, their religion, society, you name it, a choice. It's given to you, you're are set that way and what you do with it is the bases off all things.

It's mentioned in the Bible as well as in the Kama Sutra and the Vedas (some of the oldest know writings in the world) so it's a very old idea. Also a woman has a physical virginity in that the hymen breaks or stretches after first intercourse. So it's a biological idea as well.
