Revolutionary War - General George Washington
Civil War - General Ulysses S. Grant
World War I - General Blackjack Pershing
World War II - General George S. Patton, Admiral Bull Halsey, General Douglas MacArthur, General Dwight David Eisenhower
Korean War - General Douglas MacArthur
Desert Storm - Stormin' Norman Schwarzkopf
These men have been listed in order of the wars they fought in rather than personal favorites. Out of the entire group Patton was without a doubt my choice.

Dwight Eisenhower is my personal favorite. In addition to being a great miltary strategist and leader, he dutifully defended our constitution and understood the importance of a balance of power in peace times. If he were our commander-in-chief today, we would be in much better shape militarily and as a nation.
