To say that to have more religions is to have more problems is missing the point on religion's effects in the world. This kind of view stems only from viewing the negative consequenes of religious infighting. And such acts cannot be denied as bad - and should be stopped. But do we stop and look at the goodness religion promotes in this world. Every religion calls for their followers to live a good life. A mark of a true religion is a call for goodness which is what Islam, Christianity and other world religions do. The problem brought about by religion stems from religion but from their followers who bring religions to extreme.

Religion=relationship+self. Religion is the practice of learning about yourself and every dimension and self of yourself. In christianity they call it the Christ. Buddha, soul, higher being, god in you, are all the same.
Obviously, since so many religions have completely different concepts. fights break out, wich sometimes lead to wars. Because the person with the "right" religion held all the POWER. And people LOVE power.

A theologian remarked that religion makes good people better and bad people worse.

Religions that teach absolute truth based on revelations are bound to lead to intolerance and unreasonableness unless the 'revelations' are interpreted as only a human expression of a divine and essentially unknowable experience.

Paul wrote" Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress and to keep oneself from being polluted by the world.

Religion is good. Religions or differing beliefs are the problem.

Religions do not cause problems. People and politics (wanting power and land) cause problems, under the guise of religion.

I agree with the statement. The intangibility of religions will always make it impossible for the whole world to come to a stable agreement on religious disagreements.

It has been well said that "religion" is man’s way of trying to deal with his guilt. Different religions have different ways of attempting to rid their adherents of sin and its consequences. They fast, pray, deny themselves legitimate pleasures, or chasten themselves, often to a point of inflicting pain. They do this because they have a concept of what they think God (or "the gods") is like, so they seek to establish their own righteousness, being "ignorant of God’s righteousness." The Good News of the Christian faith is that no one need suffer the pains of religious works. Christ’s blood can cleanse our conscience from the "dead works" of religion (Hebrews 9:14). Jesus took our punishment upon Himself, and He is the only One who can save us from sin and death. See Acts 4:12 and John 14:6.
