OK , I think I can help but alot depends on the length of hair you have. The shorter, the easier it is to spike and to stay. But lets get started: first on clean hair try Paul Mitchell extra-body sculpting foam ( always with each product use from the base of the hair root, scalp to the end of the hair) comb through and blow dry. Next use Redkin rough paste 12 (use just a small amount in the area you need to spike) Keep pulling the rough paste through your hair until you get the exact look you desire. Then by using Big sexy hair (spray & play) you can get more volume and strenghth to your spike. Finsh it off with Redkens workforce 09 or any of their products that have the 24 hr humidity resistancy in it.Then the weather (humidity) will not cause your hair to fall or lag. This really should do the trick and once you begin to make a habit of it it won't take as long as it sounds as you are reading it.

I use gel and apply it to my hair while it is wet. Seems to work good. Also, it depends how long you have been styling your hair like that. If it is a new style for you, it will take time for your hair to get used to it. Don't use multiple products or you will get build up in your hair that looks like dandruff.

go to a hair stylist and ask their opinion..they recomended American Crew products for me and they worked great. They know what they are talking about. The products are a little pricey but they are worth it
