How can he? God can't lie, SO if he was God he couldn't say he isn't God now can he? Seriously though this reminds me of the deleted scene from Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy. I believe it was in the book but can't totally remember. It was the deleted Guide Entry. About how if God exsited he would create something so complex that only he could create to prove he exsisted. Something along those lines don't remember the exact phrase. Well man showed that there was something that complex and poof God disappeared in a cloud of logic. It's actually a pretty funny story but of course it would offend some who can't take a joke.

That is a circle question if I have ever seen one. Why would anyone believe in a being who says "I am not really God" God cannot lie, so the being would not be God in the first place.

If that's what you're hearing, you've got three possible conclusions:

1. God exists and is a prankster.
2. You're talking to something that isn't God.
3. You're talking to your own mind.

Generally speaking, Pagans excepted, God is not seen as pulling tricks on people, so you can probably rule out #1.

#2 is possible, once you've allowed for the paranormal. Whatever you're talking to, they're pretty mischievous. You can't conclude whether God exists or not from this scenario.

#3 is the most likely. If you've been "hearing voices", pay heed to this. They're not God, and you should most certainly not obey them. Minimise them, and if you can't do that, treat them as your own thoughts, to be treated critically, as you would any other idea.

I helped a friend out who was getting strange "relevations", and I managed to get the voice to inform them that it was their own mind. The voice faded after that.

He cant say that. He will still remain God even if he says that because god is an object of worship. I'll still worship him hence make Him "my God"

He is God, so I would have to believe what he said.

Then it wouldn't be God because God cannot lie.
P.S. There is a God.

Well first off God is real and God wouldn't say he isn't.

Yep. How could God say He isn't God? That's like my biological father saying he is not my father.

if god is god, he wouldn't be telling me he wasn't god. god wouldn't contradict himself, therefore something i believe to be god proclaiming he isn't god wouldn't be the true god.
