Murphy's Law ("If anything can go wrong, it will") was born at Edwards Air Force Base in 1949 at North Base.
It was named after Capt. Edward A. Murphy, an engineer working on Air Force Project MX981, (a project) designed to see how much sudden deceleration a person can stand in a crash.
One day, after finding that a transducer was wired wrong, he cursed the technician responsible and said, "If there is any way to do it wrong, he'll find it."
The contractor's project manager kept a list of "laws" and added this one, which he called Murphy's Law.
Actually, what he did was take an old law that had been around for years in a more basic form and give it a name.

When the bauld Murph arrived at Holyhead in 1956 he got a bad pint ( of Guinness).. He was from Tipperary and had a terrible thirst. He could not understand how anybody could desecrate the holy ritual that applied in those days to the filling of a pint and went ahead with causing mayhem on post-war development in the UK..
Eventually he achieved ownership of a number of pubs throughout UK/ If you want a really good pint of Guinness tell the barman to apply Murphy's law; "take your time and pay no attention to the gaffer".
There is nothing better than a nice slow pint served by a nubile Irish colleen. Come over here if you don't believe me.

Think unknown but probably Irish. Think Murphys Law states that if something can break or go wrong that it will, eventually.
