hey there friend! i am Romanian and of Romanian Greek Christian Orthodox as my religion! what is know is that in the old days okay, some time ago people would keep the dead in the house where it died and got it ready for the funeral in 2 days time! now many people preffer to use to pay others to take care of the dead and so forth...for the day of the funeral many families cook Romaian food, bring a priest home to bless to the food as well as to have a service at church. everything in Romanian Orthodox is done 3 times: the whole enchilada because that is how we are! also, the family makes something called "coliva" and everyone who attends the funeral atends the funeral and the after funeral gets some. also, the Romanian Orthodox does a rememberance service after 7days i think, after40 days i know for sure, some do it then monthy, and others do the 6 months but the important one is the 1 year !
