I have my lower left side of my back tattoed. It hurt, but not enough to cry enough to say one or two curse words. It especially hurt towards the middle of my back. For a first tattoo i wouldnt recommend your lower back.

Depends. I would say that your lower back and your "under arm" part of your tricep will have the most sensitivity in them. Legs would be the least sensative but your forearms and upper back have about the same pain tollerance. Just don't go for a complete wrap around tatoo on your bicep/tricep or a lower back tatoo if you want to avoid pain on your first one.

Best of luck to you!

It depends on your sensitivity, truthfully. Everyone is different. General rule though is the less there is between the skin and bone, the more it hurts. Like the feet and ribs are usually considered the most painful, but I've heard people talk about tattoos on their back being painful when they go over the spine.

Um...I think the arm. The back hurts, especailly in certain areas. Um, the leg doesn't hurt to bad, I have one there. I think the arm is the least painful because their is more fat then the back and leg.

When I was in the Service in the South Pacific I got one tapped in on my arm....Not too bad as far as the pain goes since there is some meat there. :) Your leg, depending on location has some meat...Not too much on your back. It is all going ot depend on the location. Ask your artist and they should be able to help you are well.

I am a huge wuss when it comes to pain; and I can even get blood drawn without throwing up. But, I did get a tattoo and it hurt, but it was not intolerable. It will hurt no matter where you get it, so you might as well put it where you want it.

nobody knows how your body reacts to pain and which part of your body will hurt less. it's really not that bad. i have sat thru three hours of tattoo at a time and i'm fine. i'm a petite girl so... just suck it up and take it.

If you are going to decide where to put your tattoo based on which area will hurt the least, then you should NOT be getting a tattoo at all.
