Soon...civil war in every sense of the term...is my belief. We can try to stabilize certain aspects but beyond that, they (Iraqi's) must deal with the fact that there is no more Saddam, and now is the fallout of the breaking down of secular agreements and accords inforced by Saddam....it was enevitable this was to be the moment we put boots in Iraq.

Years and years of turmoil. The middle-east is a haven for nut jobs it seems. Look at Osama Bin Laden, we help him in Afghanastan and we are back over there. When all seems well in Iraq and we pull out troops, life goes on, and we will back in Iraq in another 25 years or so.

Two options:

1) Things continue as they are and slowly settle down.

2) A full blown civil war breaks out. Since one side will have 90% of the population and be backed by the Iraqi Army and Police - this will be short, bloody and decisive.

Eventually or right now? Right now chaos wil reign. Eventually they will learn that gratuitious violence accomplishes nothing and Iraq will start to rebuild into something better.
