I have heard that most tickets have a better chance of being reduced or trown out by fighting it through the mail. Don't know if it works with speeding, but I got a ticket for a no standing zone and I fought it through the mail and won. Good luck with that.

This depends on a number of factors. How far above the speed limit were you? Make sure that you ask the court for a date and request that the officer who booked you is there (you have the right to face and question your accuser). They should have made a note of the conditions of the day (sunny, rainy, foggy, etc). Make sure that they are accurate.

Also, check the speed limit signs. Are they clearly posted and not obstructed by trees, etc.

You can absolutely beat most speeding tickets because I have done it. However, you have not really given any specific information about your case.

Cheers!

Were you speeding? If yes then why do you wish to fight it? If no then get a court date and dispute the ticket.
Bottom line - Either you were speeding and the ticket is just or you were not speeding and you have evidence to prove it.

You can take matter t court and fight it but you might lose. if you got the ticket and you weren't doing anything wrong then i would go t to court if i were you. here's some advice don't fight it because you there is a chance that you might not win and then you will have to pay all those leagal fees and other fees were as if you just went to court and got the fine you suppost to pay you wont have to pay more than the ticket fine realy is.

Is this a joke?

If it is, I would say that u should race against a speeding ticket. That's how to "fight a speeding ticket."

hehehe

The fight starts the minute you are stopped. Don't talk to the cop, he will testify to any admission to the charge during his discussion with you ("I didn't realize..." etc.). Ask to see the radar (laser) readout. In court demand any and all supporting evidence (video tapes, electronic records etc.). If it ends up your word against his move the court dismiss for lack of evidence. The judge will probably rule against you, but you will win hands down in an appeal.

Well if you are in South Africa dont pay up until u recieve a court date.. then when u're in court just make up something like you have four children to look after and you do that all on your own, they'll make u pay R20.00 instead of R2400.00..
GOOD LUCK

Call the courthouse and get a court date. See if you can work something out with the police officer before and if not go in front of magistrate or judge.

were you speeding? If so slow down and pay it. If you werent, then go to court and protest it. I must say that cops dont usually make it a practice to pull people over that werent speeding.

Yea you can & you should especially if it is directly associated with your employment. EXAMPLE: TRUCK DRIVERS, BUS DRIVERS, EMTS, ETC, etc... When you dont fight the ticket its like admitting to the crime. Unfortunately, your guilty until proven innocent.
