if you're infatuated you'll do what's best for you. if you're in love you'll do what's best for him.

I think infatuation is a stage of love. It's that incredible place where you just feel so many emotions about another person, before you have to deal with the down side of the other person. If the feelings are still there once reality sets in, then it can turn into love. You can have infatuation without love, and you can love someone without ever having that infatuation stage, but I think the relationships that last have both. When the hard times come, you can remember what it felt like to have that head-over-heels feeling, and it can get you through. Don't settle for less than both.

The greek word agape (love) is unconditional and therefore goes beyond feelings. It is a willful choice to love the object.

IOW- Love from this angle is a choice & is the love that a man is to have for his wife. And how we are to love one another.

There are many other greek words for love too (phileo-brotherly love, eros- erotic/infatuation love, etc)

All loves are good, all loves are necessary but often all loves aren't there at the same place at the same time. For instance, there are times I don't have the high feeling about my wife, even for weeks at a time, but I still love her. I choose to love (verb) her.

time will tell ,, Love is lasting, infatuation leads to alot of meaningless sex,

love isnt all about sex it is about hiking, walking, talking, cuddling, burping , farting, picking ones nose,, all those things which get overlooked when in love,
