Someone once wrote: "To fear the inevitable is a poor thing".
The fact is that we'll all die, eventually. Yet for the time that you are alive, you might as well enjoy the time you have. Whatever it is that you like to do, be it some sort of sports, reading, conversing with friends, travel, you name it.
If it helps, try and think of what it would be like if you lived forever. Your friends and family would grow old and pass on, but you would remain the same for eternity, stuck on this planet. Can you imagine how lonely that would be? How withdrawn you'd eventually become, as you'd never want to love anyone because you know that you'd eventually lose them.
Get out and enjoy life. Find something you like to do. If you need it, find a professional to help you sort out your problems. Be kind to others and help those in need when you can, that way when your time comes for you to pass on, and if there is a God, you'll have a far better standing than if you'd been mean to others throughout life. If that there is after life is oblivion, well at least it will bring peace too.

First of all I am terminally ill so this is something I deal with every day, but remember life isn't all about birth its about the whole concept of birth through death, we are all on this planet together riding this wave we call life. I've worked in healthcare my whole life and seen many tragedies where peoples numbers got punched way to early and that's the point. you can get busy living or you can start dying the day that you are born. I try and live everyday as its my last even though I should have at least five more year, because who know what might happen in traffic tonight. or if I'll choke on my food or just die in my sleep. You can't be busy living if your worried or anxious about that kind of thing. The fact is one day we will all die, there is no escaping that, but until that day I plan on enjoying every minute of every day. There is also medication for anxiety like Paxil or Some bet blockers to take aways panic disorders. Talk openly with your Dr.and ask about these, get his input. both of those are generic and available for $4 at walmart

Jen, I think that at various times many of us have experienced this. The best thing to do when these hit is to just stop and take a deep cleansing breath, then slowly exhale. Then just focus on your breathing (slowly) for a minute or so, until the anxiety subsides. If this becomes chronic, or prevents you from doing normal activity, see your doctor and maybe he can find someone to get to the root of your problem (what are you REALLY afraid of?), and also rule out that you have a physical problem.
By the way, you WILL die some day, we all will, but you cannot let that fear keep you from living. Good luck, and look your fear square in the eye, then thumb your nose at it---it will only defeat you if you let it.

Are you really sure those medications aren't making it worse? What with the black-box warnings coming out these days on the these "mental health" drugs, and the discovery that there is no such thing as a "chemical imbalance" (the American Psych Assoc. made it up, basically), the whole argument in favor of taking drugs to fix the problem of mental health has all but disappeared.
In other words, you're not suffering from panic attacks because you have a drug deficiency. So why take the drugs? The answer is because a psychiatrist/psychologist told you to. You put your faith in him. What you don't realize though, is that there is absolutely no valid science behind what they are telling you to do.
If you're already on one of these nasty chemicals, you need to come off of them under medial supervision, if that is what you choose to do. But, personally, I wouldn't go near any pharmaceutical product to treat a mental situation for all the gold in Fort Knox.

WELL ALL YOU NEED TO KNOW IS THE UNIVERSAL TRUTH THAT ALL LIVING THINGS HAVE TO DIE AFTER THEY TAKE BIRTH .NOBODY CAN AVOID THIS FROM HAPPENING.
JUST REMEMBER YOU WILL DIE WHEN YOU HAVE TO YOU CANNOT STOP IT.JUST BE CALM AND SPEND THE TIME YOU GET WITH HAPPINESS AND LOVE.THIS WILL NOT ONLY KEEP YOU OUT OF WORRY ABOUT DEATH BUT WILL ALSO HELP YOU IN AVOIDING THOSE PANIC ATTACKS.
COMING TO ANXIETY ITS COMMON FOR MANY PEOPLE.MY MOM HAS IT TOO WHEN SOMEONE NEW COMES HOME.SHE GOT RID OF IT BY NOT COMING IN FRONT OF THEM .THATS ALL .AVOID DOING THE THINGS THAT CAUSE YOU ANXIETY .OR IF THEY ARE NOT AVOIDABLE THEN JUST THINK OF A PEACEFUL SITUATION IN YOUR MIND WHEN ANXIETY ARISES.THIS IS THE BEST REMEDY ANYONE CAN EVER HAVE.
ALL THE BEST FRIEND.:-)

Not to sound mean but your crazy. worried about death so you never do anything is nuts. hey i am afraid of death too but only when i am dieing. I have almost died so many times. once i got electrcuted by a elctric door. Then i almost was hit by cars like 3 times. Then my throat swelled up to were i only had a mill to breath all the way down my throat. then i had my son and lost 4 pts of blood when you can only loose six till you die. so yeah i have been knocking on deaths door for a long time. my best advise just stop thinking about it. go out with friends or family go to a club or something dance be silly and have fun for once. good luck

I have read some litterature about panic attacks. But they allways seem to have a more scientific approach and that is nothing I need in my struggle to survive those horrible panic attacks. This is a "hand on" and very practical book. I felt it was written to me. I am sure that you are going to feel the same.
Joe Barry writes exactly how I think. The examples are perfectly described. And the method is genius. I recommend this book and thanks Joe Barry for writing it. It changes your life

I would see a nuerologist, The hippocampus/amygdala and the whole limbic system play a big role in emotion/fear which is also where anxiety comes from. Your prob going to have to take a SSRI antidepressant. Seems you have a chemical imbalance which we have all heard this term. What that really means is that either your defecient in dopamine or serotonin/norepinephrine.

Sometimes I feel I'm going to die anytime. But I have so much faith i am not afraid to die. But in your case you have panic attacks and that is serious. You better go a doctor or Psychiatrist because you need some medications to calm you down.
God loves us all and he will not leave us whether you believe on him or not. I will pray for your health. May God bless you that you will have faith in him.
