My cat has fleas and i was wondering if using advantage is enough to kill them all. I know fleas dont live on the cat so does that mean i have to bomb my house as well. I don't know how that would work because my cat is a inside cat and i have no where else to put him if i try and bomb the house. so do you think if i use advantage on him it will take care of the problem?

You need to treat the environment to get rid of what's there, otherwise you won't get rid of all the fleas.

Buy a spray with an insect growth regulator (IGR) like nylar (ecktokyl is great). Spray everywhere: bedding, behind furniture, behind drapes, under furniture, cracks in the floor, along the baseboards, etc. Bombs don't work. They disperse the contents of the an in a mushroom type fog and where the contents falls, that's what get treated. It does not get behind the drapes, under the couch, etc.

Advantage is a great product, but the house needs to be treated, also. In heavy infestations, treatment may be necessary again in 2 weeks.

I finalyy got red of all the fleas in my house. I have to inside cat. You need to ask a vet for this pill that gets red of them. it really works and you do need to bomb the house otherwise there is no point in giving the medicine to the cat. and another thing there is this flea carpet powder. it would be with all of the animal stuff in a store. just spread it around on the carpet and use a broom to get it down in to it, then just leave it there for a few days then vacum it up. it will not harm the cat. also TAKE THE CAT OUT OF THE HOUSE WHEN YOU BOMB! now that will kill it. just make sure that the house is all closed up ( no windows of anything open), turn all gas things for in the house ( water heater, stove, anything like that) unless you want to house to explode, and put the cat in your car and then set off the bomb and drive around a while with the cat and then go back to the house and (leave cat in the car) open out the windows to let air get in and then bring cat in. Just make show that you use more than one or two bombs is you live in a house. use like 5 or 6 and it you live in a apartment then just 3 or 4. thank to help.

Well, let me tell ya, I have "Been there done that"...The fleas will get in your carpet and nearly everywhere else in your home..I tried "Over the counter" remedies..In the end..the fleas were still there and my pet was miserable..The ONLY way you will completley solve your problem is to call a professional exterminator. They will spray the home and also give you a special "shampoo" like product to use on your pet..In about 2-3 days ALL the fleas and there eggs will be gone.
