I have two dogs a very smart beagle(nickname for him is houdini) and a pit bull. We're thinking of getting a radio collar for him along w/ a fence. Has anybody ever had trouble with their dogs escaping these invinsible fences for dogs?

The problem with the invisible fence is it will stop your dog coming back if it does get out. It won't want to cross the boundary again.

I think most of the folks answering arent really reading ur question. If you have a fence maybe a privacy or a chainlink, along with an invisible fence boundary, im sure the visual deterent would be more than enuf to keep them in there, esp if there was training along with it to let ur dogs know their boundaries.. good luck.. hope this helps!

The answer to that is a resounding YES!!!!! Especially a Beagle will figure out in short order that if it is at full speed when it crosses the fence, it won't get him. Then for no other reason than they can, they will spend more time outside the fence than in.

I guess it depends on the dog...my cousin and his wife have 2 newfoundlands and they've used an invisible fence with them successfully.

I don't like those fences.....just because your dog can't get out dosent mean other things can't get in! !
