Hi Rebecca,
Your body mass index is 26.8 based on the information you've given, which is slightly over the normal range (18.5 ~24.9). This may be because you have heavier bones than other people (e.g. Germans have bigger builds and would have higher BMI than Asians generally), or it could also mean you are in fact a little overweight. Don't worry too much, just try to exercise more and eat predominantly healthy food (lots of fruits and vegetables, moderate amounts of meat). Whatever you do, please don't starve yourself!
Btw, you are a beautiful young lady, so it would only be for health concern that I'm recommending you to exercise more and make sure you eat generally good food.
Cheers!

Is this normal in your family's body type or structure? Every ones different. If its genetic you might not be able to change much. If you would like to be thinner, I suggest Change of eating to more healthier choices. Salads, fruits. Give up anything fried!! Yes this includes french fries. Start walking maybe 20 min a day every other day and work your way up by 10 minutes a week until you reach 50 minutes then look into a personal trainer or a nearby gym where you can start a daily regimen. Exercise and a healthy diet is where your answer waits.

If you want me to be honest with you - no, it's not normal. Start exercising 5 times a week for an hour, stop eating junk food (it only does you harm), and stay focused on the way you want to look in future. Eating lots of fruit and vegetables and well chosen meats will be great. If you hate healthy food, at least try finding something that you least hate and eat it. Avoid bread, unless it's whole wheat bread and eat it only in the morning (that's how I control myself). I guess this should work for you.

It is a bit over what the Centers for Disease Control considers healthy for your height. Check out the BMI calculator here: http://www.cdc.gov/nccdphp/dnpa/bmi/adult_BMI/english_bmi_calculator/bmi_calculator.htm
BMI isn't a perfect gauge of fitness - if you're very athletic and have a lot of muscle mass, you might have a BMI of over 25 (which is technically considered overweight) but be in excellent health anyway.
Have your doctor check your blood pressure at your next appointment. If it's a little high, you might want to take off 10 or 12 pounds. But don't make yourself crazy about it. You're really not too far off track! : )

Depends on your height and body sturcture, actually.
So I can't say either 'yes' or 'no' to your answers with the details that you have mentioned.
Please Don't starve yourself to do dieting.
That may even make you look ugly !
Who knows that at this weight you may actually be looking quite good and beautiful and that may not be a lot of weight for you.
Who knows ?
Cheer up, charming young lady.

You are over weight by about 20 pounds. Some people have big heavy bones and they are little more heavier than others.I do not know your situation. In any case please do not take any kind of medication to reduce the weight.Control your diet, eat healthy foods, supplement with green vegetables and fruits(in moderate quantity),avoid junk foods for the life and do exercise regularly. (OPTIONAL: love your parents, siblings and family members, respect your teachers and be kind to all the lifes.)
