If serious, then bracelet or necklace. It doesnt have to be expensive, it just shows your very interested in her and want a longer relationship.
If your still getting to know eachother, and not so sure if she is the right one for you, playing it safe....Then a cute Stuffed Animal will make a great gift. Find out her favorite animal and go from there. I like frogs and my first christmas with my boyfriend, He gave me an adorable lil frog Stuffed animal. I just died, at the thought he gave me something, something I collected. Any gift from a guy to a girl is a gift very special. I have loved everything given to me, since I dated my boyfriend. Now we are married! And gifts get even "MORE" special! (wink)

How new? How old? A new friend should not be given jewlery, so depending on age, maybe a stuffed animal, or chocolates. Always a new Cd or DVD would work.
