What is this called?

My sister was sick and was throwing up and had diarreah, and they both came at the same time. Was it that?

That could just be food poisoning, she probably ate something that was bad and her body was trying to get rid of it at both ends. If she is over it, was most likely not serious. Happened to me a while back when I ate some bad shrimp.
