There is currently no cure or vaccine for herpes. Treatment is restricted to Aciclovir (trade name Zovirax), which reduces the duration of symptoms and accelerates healing. Treatment should begin at the first symptoms of an outbreak for best results as far as duration and healing; should treatment begin before the lesions appear, it is possible that the outbreak can be averted.

Another option is the use of daily suppressive therapy, in which antivirals are taken every day over the course of years. Suppressive therapy reduces frequency of symptoms and recurrence of outbreaks. In addition, suppressive therapy reduces subclinical shedding, lowering the risk of transmission through sexual contact or kissing.

Although Zovirax/Acyclovir is the best prescription strength remedy; if you don't want to go to the doctor, simply try swabbing peroxide on the lesion every time you go onto your bathroom. Or at least as often as you can. That seems to dry up the lesion quicker for me than dealing with ointments that just keep the coldsore soft and gooey. But, don't be tempted to PICK at it once it starts to dry out. After a few days you should see a great improvement! :)

I got identified with herpes simplex virus (type 2) about 4 years back, whilst I was still attending college and had a silly one-night stand. I realize a lot of girls say this, but I swear I had never done that sort of thing before. I just made a huge mistake that one time and all of a sudden it seemed like I was going to have to live with the consequences for the rest of my life. The hardest part was feeling I could never date guys again. After all, who wants to go out with someone that has sores round her private parts? But since a friend shared this movie https://tr.im/oXb5U everything improved.

Not only was I able to remove all remnants of the hsv from my body in less than 3 weeks, but I was also able to start dating again. I even met the guy of my dreams and I'm so blessed to write that just a week ago, in front of everyone in a crowded restaurant, he got down on one knee and proposed to me! This system provided the chance to be happy and experience true love again. Now I want to help others by sharing this story.

Take tones of Lysine, you can find it in any vitamin department, lysine helps the body fight against mouth sores. Clean the affected area and put baking soda on it for 2-5 minutes and then rince, use mouthwash twice a day to, they make a special mouthwash for mouth sores. The over the counter medications usually work well although a cold sore has to run its course once it it is a full blown sore. Try to avoid chapsticks and lip balms, they only trap in germs and do not allow the sore to breathe. Try an antibiotic ointment to kill infection and speed up the healing process. You can use all these methods to help the healing process.

Zovirax is brilliant! Unfortunately you have to catch it at the first 'tingle' to stop it from appearing, but if you put a bit on a few times a day (and before you sleep) it'll be gone about 50% quicker. Nasty things eh!

Cover it with thick concealing make up.
Its too late for any medications.
Dont keep touching it as it can transfer to your finger as a herpetic witlow.
Treat yourself to some pampering as stress can cause cold sores to break out.

Get some ZOVIRAX from the chemist it works a treat. In future keep it close and put some on as soon as you feel the tingling coming.
