He needs a slap in the face for trying to stereotyping people... Especially if when trying to stereo type that person he gets it wrong...
you see Emo is the new "goth" They have the fringed hair, generally black but it's more of the style the hair is styled in, the fringe over one eye, the short and spiky cut at the back...I've seen it With Black hair then Blondie fringe...
Emo's all wear the same clothes...With the van's type slipper shoe things of various strange designs, leopard print, bright red, silver etc...Thick black rimmed glasses...Sweat bands round their wrists...and super tight black jeans...or just super tight jeans that are called drain pipes...The girls of the emo variety can wear either this, or a polka dot black and white dress, with the 3 quarter style type tights...
All listen to a music variety called "emo screamo" and similar songs like that...
I have a music video by Adam and Andrew, It may help you discern what an emo is :D
and to answer your question no your not an emo for dyeing your hair black

I`ve just read what an EMO is, I don`t know how old you are but I think it time you started to grow up and let name calling go over your head. If you want black hair, so be it, have it.

I dyed my hair black back in 1986, as a teenager, and that was way before there was any such thing as emo. No, you aren't an emo just because of that.

Why do you care what this childish, idiotic boy calls you? He teases people based on his ignorance and to feel better about himself by putting you down. If you like it, he can call you whatever he wants because that'll only show his own childishness. Don't let teasing change who you are and what you like. Don't conform to other people's ideas of what you should look like or be.
Besides, among the billions of Asian, Latino, Middle Eastern, Mediterranean, African and other black-haired people in the world, how many is he going to call emo?

If he thinks you are an emo for having black hair I think he is an ostrich (he has his head in a small hole).

If you dont like the black then buy some stripper at your Wal Mart store. Then color it the color you would like. If you prefer the darker colors then may I suggest the brownish red colors. They look great on anyone. If you have light colored hair anyway, black will not go well with your skin color and maybe that is why they make fun of your hair. Just trying to help. Hang in there

reckoning on your pores and skin tone and undertones, it probable won't look all that sturdy on you. It explains why assorted people who dye their hair black look "emo" or like they try too complicated. that's why you will desire to get a particular colour which will in wonderful condition your pores and skin tone. it would desire to no longer be "real" black, it would desire to honestly be a very very darkish brown, regardless of the undeniable fact that it is going to look black on you. consult from a stylist approximately it and see what their address it may be. Im particularly particular they could be extra desirable than satisfied that can assist you. an identical colour of black would not look sturdy on quite everyone. it is going to at last wash out, yet because of the fact your hair is very easy, it may take a sprint longer than it may in case you have been a brunette. only make certain your hair is in sturdy shape previously you place the dye in and which you're taking very sturdy care of it. ?

If it was in the dictionary emo would be this:
Emo n (abr. emotional) a spotty youth recognisable by the greasy black hair swept into their eyes, trousers hanging below their underwear, studded belts and hooded jumpers bearing the name of a whiney self-pitying band.
So indeed, there's more to consider when classing 'emos' than just haircolour...
