It worked for one friend of mine. But many people it won't. All """diets""" take the very things most people who want to diet, lack: motivation and dedication and self-denial and will-power.

Each pound is 3,500 calories. Find out your daily caloric needs, and reduce that by 500 calories. This will make you lose a pound a week. ( 7 x 500=3500)

Fat is 9 calories a gram; carbs are 4.5 calories a gram. Don't fall for Atkins or any bacon-eater diets. Common sense and will-power will get you there.

But blood type diet MIGHT help with issues like allergies or fatigue from certain incompatible foods.

Good luck.

I did buy the book "Eat Right for Your Type" after thumbing through the introductory information and finding some merit in the author's arguments (he's a naturopathic doctor). It did seem to work while I was on it, but I didn't stay on it long. It was too hard to stay away from some things that as a Type A I should avoid (red meat, some dairy). I did incorporate soy into my diet as a result of the book, though, which is a good thing.

It's probably worth a try, especially if you're a Type B or Type AB, as they have (what I think) are the easiest diets to follow. Type O's need to give up most carbs (and focus on meat), Type A's need to lay off the meat (and aim, ideally, for a vegetarian diet), and both O's and A's have to lay off most dairy products. YIKES!

I,ve tried this diet, and many, many, others.(they didnt work for me) The only diet that has been working for me is regular aerobic exercise ,some pilates and 1200 calories a day. Bonus: the wieght just leaves your body not your pocket book.

I agree with Martino. Diet is all about motivation, dedication, self-denial and will-power. If you have all this, every "diet" will work!

No, it doesn't. Your blood group doesn't affect your metabolic processes.
