Let's see... what century is this? A real Christian never got divorced, way back when. A real Christian had nothing at all to do with worldly things, including politics, in the long ago. A real Christian believed the Sun revolved around the Earth, and rejected all that heretical astronomical stuff, a couple of centuries ago. A real Christian never wore cosmetics or dressed in a provocative way, once upon a time. And a real Christian woman wouldn't have been caught dead wearing trousers or jeans. A real Christian never would have bought a Powerball ticket or gambled on the lottery. A real Christian wouldn't have flown in an airplane, a few decades ago.

The definition changes.

Well, you'll get a lot of answers to this, but a cynical answer is that everyone thinks that they are "real Christians" and people who disagree with them are not real Christians! You'll hear conservatives say that liberals are not real Christians because of their moral views; you'll hear liberals say that conservatives are not real Christians because they do not (allegedly) live up to Christ's teachings about poverty, etc. I don't know if there was ever a "real Christian" on earth, in history (even Jesus was born Jewish, but he probably comes closest!).

A teacher in law school once told me that a frivolous lawsuit was any lawsuit where you're getting sued. I think there's an analogy there. A "false Christian" is anyone who disagrees with you or questions you. The "real Christians" are all those who agree with you. Of course, in the eyes of God, both sides are wrong (i.e., flawed, because we're all humans), so sometimes you wonder what the bickering is all about . . .

A Christian is a follower of Jesus Christ. Christian is often used to classify a country or region, but living in a "christian" country doesn't make someone a Christian any more than sitting in a garage makes them a car. Like the first followers of the Christ--Jesus's closest friends usually referred to as the disciples--they gave their lives for what they witnessed and experienced daily for nearly 3 years with this man named Jesus of Nazareth. They are the example of what it means to follow Christ, and therefore be Christians.

A real Christian is a person who *loves* Jesus Christ enough to follow Him wherever He leads them and to obey Him as best they are able no matter what the consequences are in this world.

You can recognize a "real" Christian if they love others. Jesus said to love one another and that by this all men would know we are His disciples.

Not a real Christian- Titus 1:16 They profess that they know God; but in works they deny him, being abominable, and disobedient, and unto every good work reprobate.

Not a real Christian-Matthew 7:21 Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.

Anyone who claims to be a Christian, and does not obey God's word and thinks that they can continue to do what the rest of this sinful world is doing, just because they can "repent of their sins" and go back to sinning is not a Christian, but a fool as well. A fool of themselves. Because Jesus knows not only the exact numbers of hair that is on our heads, but He also knows when a repentive sinner is sincere or just going through motions.

A Christian will not let their spiritual eyes get blinded and darkened by the sinsful acts of this world and become tolerant of them.

Romans 12:2 And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.

A real Christian knows that once they accepted Jesus as their personal Savior, their bodies are not their own anymore,

1 Corinthians 6:15 Know ye not that your bodies are the members of Christ? shall I then take the members of Christ, and make them the members of an harlot? God forbid.

1 Corinthians 6:19 What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own?

Real Christians also know that they are to do their best to renew their thought patterns, and old habits from unrightous ways, and thinking into rightous ways and thinking. It is an on going process and basically a Genisis that is never ending in the soul of a true born again Christian

Hypocrites may show up at a church building every Sunday, but there are no hypocrites in the Church (Christ’s body). Hypocrite comes from the Greek word for "actor," or pretender. Hypocrisy is "the practice of professing beliefs, feelings, or virtues that one does not hold."

The Church is made up of true believers; hypocrites are "pretenders" who sit among God’s people. God knows those who love Him, and the Bible warns that He will sort out the true converts from the false on the Day of Judgment. All hypocrites will end up in hell (Matthew 24:51).

Some people are counted as christians yet their behavior is not. Others beleive & behave like christians , these are the real ones.
The ones who follow God' word in their daiy life. If we don't do that , then it is nothing but hypocrisy

False Christian: Goes to church, speaks of God, says they have Jesus in their heart and looks and acts like the world.

Real Christian: One who has repented (turned away) from their sins and put their trust in Christ, fellowships with other Christians, reads their bible, lives in obedience the word of God and shares their faith with their words, thoughts and deeds. The behavior (all aspects) reflect the word of God and the fruit is evident in all they do.

a real Christian practises what they preach and preach only if they have too, they do not damn everybody else to Hell but are concerned with the salvation and welfare of others.
they do not judge others because Jesus forbids it and can see the dignity in the other person no matter what they seem to be.
