A friend should be always there at all times, in your hardships and in your happy days, and he should always think of whats best for you, giving and helping you out in all of your problems then it is love. But if it is just lust that connect him to you then he's just there in sweet moments only, only when he can touch you, hold you, and wants you to be with him in an intimate moments, and after he get what he wants he wants now to dump you. Many platonic friendships are like that, having a friendship between a girl and a boy. Liking it or not the relationship may go unexpected intimacy and goes to sex, leaving a man and a women confused and ending to broken friendship. Hope I helped you thats all.

If he appreciate and accept everything about you and doesnt expect anything in return..that you may call real LOVE. But if you notice that he only appreciate your looks and not interested on other things..that you may call LUST..he just wanna be close to you to get something he desires..

Hushnowdj has hit it on the head. Lust is pure sex, normaly has nothing to do with love, love is caring, taking you everywhere and wanting to be with you all the time.

it is just about the same you need lust before love. If you stop lusting after someone the love will slowly die

I believe there's no such thing as love at first sight, so if he wants you to go to bed with him within seconds of knowing you, then it's most probably lust.

If a male lusts after you, everything he says or does with you is aimed towards having sex with you.
If he loves you, then everything he does is aimed towards becoming your one and only. He will not push you towards having sex.

well if they want sex you say no and if its love nothing changes and they dont ask again --- if its lust they will disappear or just keep asking
