It means, "do you understand?". pu tung hua is Mandarin Chinese. Now you know almost as much as I do about Mandarin. I only studied it for about 3 months. I plan to go back to it one day.

ting1 dong3 le ma (è½æäºå) means "Do you understand?" -- used only when making sure the person you are talking to understands what you are talking about.
