Uh, what exactly do you plan to do if it isn't?
Men can continue to grow through their early 20's, so if you're not 20 or 21 yet, you may eke out another few inches. Either way, people will tend to perceive you the way you perceive yourself, so learn to accept (or better still, embrace) those qualities that make you YOU.

No because the average height for males is about 5 6 -5 9. If you are 5 5 you might be a little under height. But shorter guys make up in other places despite their height. ;D

Well I am a Indian male and I am 5' 6" TALL.
I am 36 yrs old now so I can give you my 50paise bit. Yes Height does matter somewhat taller persons will normally have a better advantage over you initially. Wether it comes to courtship or interviews etc.. it is natural . BUt BUt remember in anything you do in life finally your brain matters thats the only thing which will pull you up through your exams , results , deadlines, Sales target.
Now at this age I am much better of than most of my taller acquaintainces. So finally it didnt matter?!?
Be happy with what god has given you !

Depends. You should give us more information and background why you are asking that question. If you are still 10 years old, that height is quite tall. If not it you might be short depending where you are from. In the Philippines, most people are shorter, 5 feet 5 inches is basically within normal height. Women are around 5'2. In fact the Philippines President is a mere 4 feet 11 inches but she is one hell of a politician.

every woman is attracted to something different. Some tall women like that size men. Some women are 5 feet tall, and want a man that size.
But you're not the average height, and who cares? Everybody's different, and that's a good thing.
