Please don`t advise me to download spybot or anything else as i can`t download anything! I hit the download button on any site and nothing happens. I don`t get the run/open box either. Any suggestions?

Try getting Opera browser as I had the same problem before using IE and Opera uses a diffrent downloading tool so that should work.

Good day. Did u notice the information bar? Whenever u download something there will be a information bar on the toolbars on top normally highlighted blue. Check up on that. Laterz.

could be directx disabled click tools Internet options programmes,then manage add-ons see if its enabled check adobe to.or could simply be a popup blocker disable it and try again.

Have you got Javascript disabled either in your browser security settings, or in one of your security program settings?
