bush hears voices and in one his voice sessions with his god, he was told to invade and loot and kill the muslims. he said it himself that his god told him to attack iraq.
now, if i went to my doctor and told him/her that i heard voices from god and god has told me to kill. straightaway i'd be arrested and dumped in a mental institute. so, why isn't bush in a mental institute?

Yes President Bush is the president: look you moron I don't worship no president!!!!, and well if you watershed the news of the presidential election and realised well that Bush only won the electoral vote not the popular vote you wouldn't ask such a stupid question to begin with cause for three days America was split down the middle when the election result came in a bush declared himself the winner. It was about to go to the Supreme Court but to save this con try from being split apart over the election result bush won

Are you an American? If you are you know that the truest sense of the word 'President' is more than just a man! It is a symbol! We don't worship our President and we don't listen to a bunch of garbage printed in 'Rag Papers and Magazines' because we have a brain. We respect our President and hope that he does what is best for us as a people and if he doesn't, we vote him out on the next election. Now, because he has just about run his term we will probably try again but I need to say this then allow you to get back to your hatred.
You are bad mouthing a man who speaks for all Americas weather it be good or bad! We as a people put this Gentleman into office and believed that he would choose his path in accordance with what 'we the people' wanted and needed. If he makes mistakes and does not follow through with this, we can not blame him. He is one man who has millions of people telling him what he can or can't do. It is a thankless job that frustrates and angers and yet he wakes up every morning and continues.
He doesn't back down from people who attack us and threaten, even today, to destroy us, and still has the presence of mind to help and aid those that wish to harm us. Not because he has too, but because he feels, as humans, they deserve to live with respect and dignity, even if they don't realize it themselves. He has grown past the narrow minded beleif that the only humans on this earth are Americans and has decided that all humans are worth it. 'It' being a chance to live free with the choices given to us in America!
I think it would be wise that if you want to start bashing the President of the United States you might want to take a couple of refresher courses in the politics of United States. If you believe for one moment that the President is alone in his decisions you are saddly mistaken. It takes a majority to rule on anything the president may or may not do. Checks and Balances! He is not the only person that made the choices and actions taken by Americans these past few years.
If you are an American you better Damn Well get yourself out there and vote and be heard. If you don't like whats being done, you, as an American Citizen has the right to make legal changes should the majority agree with you. But again, theres the catch! If, the majority agrees with you! Your opinion is still just your opinion if nobody else agrees with you. You are bashing the man, because of his beliefs, and ignoring the symbol he represents.
If you want people to agree with the things that make you angry you need to approach them with respect of these beliefs not seething rage.
In my opinion, our President is a symbol to be respected! In my opinion Mr President Bush is a man to be respected. He earned it! He had the guts to do something the rest of us only complain about because we don't have the guts to really do anything about it. As my President he may do things I don't agree with, but like most men and woman of power, 'You can please some of the people some of the time, but you can't please all of the people all of the time!' I can make the choice to change my mind at any time and that is my choice. But, I can tell you that I don't read garbage about it and I don't believe everything I hear! I search and research!

Have a good day!
Blessed Be

Many of us here in The United States have been asking that question for over six years. It is beyond the realm of possibility that a supposedly educated population could ever put such a person into that position of power. The only logical explanation is that we have been infected with fundamentalist Christianity and coupled with a number of election irregularities, they were able to pull it off. Hopefully we have purged much of the infection and built up enough immunity to overpower any effort to monkey with the election results in 2008.

We do not worship any living person. We worship God!
What Americans do is vote and elect a president. Once done, we must be supportive of our president, after all WE voted.
So a lot of you have nothing but vile things to say about our current president. No mortal is always right, I believe he takes the best advice, prays and is doing his best to lead our country.
If any of you are around long enough, wait to see how his presidency is defined in history.

"Worship" might be strong.

However the issue with Americans is that they are afraid of the other choice more than Bush. Bush offers "Christian" values to which the Bible Belt subscribes to. That belt runs from Alabama, up into Ohio and Colorado...giving him a lot of sheep. Once the sheep here just how un-Christian the other side might be...well, its over.

As an outsider, I think the 2008 US election is going to be extremely interesting. Let's see if the educated American voter can help them catch back up with the rest of us.

I would not use the word worship in this sense. They "elected" him to represent them and he thinks he does.

You could argue that he represents the lobby group rather than the electorate eg 2/3 of americans want US troops out of Iraq be he does not seem willing to order that.

every man to his own opinion said the farmer when he kissed his cow. but there are many who disagree with what is going on in the government. you have your right to your opinion because of free will but you are totally wrong on U.S. citizens " worshiping " Bush or any other President. as a U.S. Citizen I respect the office but I don't have to " worship " the man holding the office.

He's a politician with a horrible job that I can't imagine anyone really wants, but is needed. He has advisers left and right telling him what he may do. Those are the voices he hears.

He is not worshiped.
