If your brother had life insurance and he died of a head injury and it states on the medical examiners report that cause of death was due to head injury and not related to the HIV then they should pay out. I am sorry for your loss but don't understand why they haven't paid yet and did they pay for the funeral and burial? If they did then they will pay out on the rest of his policy .

Sorry for your loss. If his death certificate states the head injury as cause of death and it was not in anyway to do with say being weak from his illness, yes. Otherwise, if it was a result of illness then you may have to fight insurance company to get money.

Sorry about your brother. That depends on what type of insurance he had. If his insurance excluded payment because of his HIV status, and he actually died from a head injury not HIV they should pay. If you have problems talk to a lawyer.
