at college we are running a charity fayer and we need an idea for a stall which will raise lots of money? any ideas....?

Buy lots of trinkets for say, 50c or less and have a 'guess your age' stall. Everyone pays $1.00 for you to guess their age.
If you guess wrong, they get a prize. If you guess right they get nothing.... You can't lose money.

But dont' forget, it's your patter (sales pitch) that makes them part with their money in the first place....

And don't forget, vanity is the key here.....

Selling items that nobody else wants, is always a winner. So bric-a-brac, and toys and books and `rubbish` is always good.Also sell tickets for jars of sweets, with the customers having to guess how many sweets are in each jar.Have someone doing face painting for children.

Cake and/or chocolate always raise lots of money because they cost very little to make but you get sell them for a lot more, and you will sell a lot. And it's fayre or fair btw. Sorry, that was annoying me.

How about all those study books you have just done with, especially if they are relevant for next year, also dvds, cds and clothes.

cd stall...cake stall...vintage clothing....painting what the students have done.....any good?
