Yes, Eurotrip Don, technically you're correct. However, the space I had to type the original question was limited, therefore I included run-ons in the question.Happy now?

Run-ons are NOT what I'm talking about, you know exactly what I mean.

And you are a prime example of your own post. For there is absolutely no need for your foul mouth and has no place here in the religion and spirituality forums.

Psalms 34:13 Keep thy tongue from evil, and thy lips from speaking guile.

I am praying for you.

I'm amazed you couldn't find a topic more important to rant about. With all the atrocities going on around the world, your main concern seems to be the misuse of the English language. What in the world does it matter if someone spells a word wrong or is grammatically incorrect? There are way more important things to worry about. You,and a lot of people at this forum who can't seem to answer any question without saying something like "learn how to spell", etc., need to get your priorities straight.

Wow is this a case of the pot and the kettle or what? Actually I think that it’s entirely possibly that you intentionally wrote such a poor grammatical example intentionally to draw the attention of these kinds of comments. Then you slapped it in the religion section just to piss people off. In all honesty I think that you are a sad person with nothing better to do other than to be a drama whore on the internet.

Looking around, I'm amazed at the sheer number of people here who don't have the first damn clue about the rules of the English language. It's excusable in the case of someone whose primary language is not English, but for those of you living in an English-speaking country, WTF????

[edited to correct your grammar]

Because everyone under the age of 22 speaks in "IM language". Why learn how to spell a word completely when you can cut it to it's primal phonetic sound? Even if you did spell it completely, the person you sent it to probably couldn't read it anyway because they only communicate in "IM" as well. And why would they hit the "Check Spelling" button? When the spell check asks you about your usage of the word who/whom/who's/whose & you/your/you're & there/their/they're etc etc and you are totally lost in how to use/spell them in the first place, Check Spelling becomes your enemy and you regress back to "I luv u". Painful...simply painful.

And to the people saying "who cares as long as you can understand it": practice becomes habit. If you habitually talk in IM speak 75% of your day and properly only 25%, in time you will begin to lose that 25%. You stop practicing proper grammer, over time you tend to forget how to use proper grammer. Texting your girlfriend "I luv u. Ur so kewl" might be cool to her, but when this stuff ends up on school papers, job applications and resumes, it isn't cool at all.

You're right about the abuse of the English language on this site. You also used a run-on sentence to express yourself.

I agree. However your question is not going to cure the horrible insanity of very bad grammer, spelling, and even syntax.

To the ones that says he is swearing; he only put the letters WTF. They are only letters. He could mean something like, where's the fruit or it could even be, his initials, Winston Thomas Felerman. I mean people take things and twist them around. Assumption is not a good feature in anybody.

Speaking of not having a handle on the language, did you know that swearing and cursing are used by uneducated people as a crutch for not having the vocabulary necessary to express themselves intelligently?

English is my only language. I can write it easier than speak it because of a little speech impediment. Sorry about that. Please forgive me that I am not perfect at it. English courses in school were my hardest ones to pass

There are way more things to worry about than that! Like the homeless, the hungry, the people worrying about giving their kids a christmas, children getting beaten, the government robbing and ruleing us, people that don't believe in God, diseases that are killing people, famine in the world, gangs, the war,......is that enough to start you out with? Lighten up please.

The basic idea is to use language to communicate. If you communicate badly, but are still understood, then what is the problem?
