A man whose car suddenly blows a tire pulls up at the side of the road. He jacks up the car. removes the hubcap and 4 lug nuts. places the nuts in the hubcap, and removes the flat. As he is lifting the spare wheel out of the boot, however, he kicks over the hubcap and all the nuts fall into a drain The next town is several miles away. Of course. he could walk or hitchhike there to buy more lug nuts; but can you think of anything better?

Take one lug nut off of each of the other 3 tires, and use them to put the spare on - that way, each tire will be held on by 3. That should get him to the next town, where he can buy 4 more.

Take one nut off of the other 3 wheels, put the 3 nuts on the fourth tire, Those 3 nuts will allow him to drive the car to the next town. That 'riddle' is probably over 80 years old.

Or..
He can use his cell and call MacGyver who will twist up some aluminum foil and tree bark to make his own super strong lugnuts. He will then find a hot 80's chick to bang....and maybe a friend for lugnut guy.

It depends. Is his vehicle an Aquacar? If so he can simply drive it into the drain & either find his nuts or proceed to the nearest town on that particular drain.

can't he just open the drain cover and take them out? or loosen one nut by each wheel then put them on this one and then all the wheels are conected by three nuts and drive slowley to the next town.
