Right i want to book a flight on the 23rd December, checked the prices last night and it was £31. I checked again today and it was £26.75. Do i wait a few more days and see if they decrease or should i book asap?

Definately book now.
The potential savings are nothing compared to the potential fare increases. Plus if its easyjet they guarantee you get the lowest fares, so if you notice your flight has got cheaper they'll give you the difference back.

No, Book asap. Flights will not go down ever during the holidays. Dec 21 - 24 are the most traveled days thru Dec. They will all be sold out if you wait any longer. The more seats that are sold the more expensive it gets.
Happy Holidays

Book now. If they don't have many seats left close to 23rd December, the price may increase a lot.
