The rage in dieting is counting calories. In order to maintain a weight loss program you have to burn off more calories than you take in. No one (including personal trainers at local gyms) can seem to pinpoint an accurate account of how many calories we "release" in our human waste. I realize the need to watch what we eat and everything in moderation to maintain balance but... I wonder if there has been a study regarding this?? All answers, please be serious! Unique thought maybe but very curious!

none unless you plan on eating it.

your body burns calories. i cant understand why you would even be thinking about that unless you really want to eat it.

Okay, that is actually an interesting question. There must be left over “calories” but I would imagine that either your body can’t process what’s left or maybe it goes through your system quickly and doesn’t get processed. I would also imagine that everyone processes things in a slightly different way.

I got lots of hits with this search. http://scholar.google.com/scholar?q=calories+in+human+waste&hl=en&lr=

I did a little research and found nothing. However, burning more than taking in works....so it must not have any effect.
