And seek help with patience and prayer, and this indeed is hard except for the humble in spirit

He has given me the "gift" of the disease of alcoholism. He let me reach my bottom so I can climb back up. Without this, I would have lost my family and everything I hold dear. I have to take a close look, an "inventory" of myself (I try not to do it to others) every day. See how I'm treating others. Making amends. Re-examining my life. I hope this makes sense. I'm only 10 months clean, but it's worth it for my kids - and it's not easy all the time. But I am a lot more fortunate than a lot of people. I wake up in a warm house in a free country, with food and coffee or whatever else I could want. So I hope that makes sense.

By loving me when I wasn't loving myself.By walking with me through the shadow of darkness and my fearing no evil.I have put myself in harms way many times in my life while becoming who i am today and every step of the way even in my worst of sinful times ,God for some reason always protected me.When it looked like I was falling again,He lifted me up out of Egypt and the bondage I was sliding back into and put me in a better place to free myself.I can't explain all to you how wonderful God has been in this sinners life because there isn't enough room, but I always tell people to always pray, even in your sin for when you really are sick and tired of being sick and tired,He will help you change.I realized that God had a work for me and He tried all things to get my attention to the job He wanted me to do and I am glad and blessed to have heard His call and am doing His will.I use to think I had to succeed in the business world, but I now know that God wants me to teach the young ones in my family and help them understand a God that appears invisible to them, but the words I say and the actions of my hands make an invisible God visible.

In knowing that God has a plan & a purpose for ME! That the God of the universe would make this plan even before I was born is just amazing to me. And, the fact that He did this, even knowing that I was gonna be a druggie & a drunk, and ignoring Him in everything I did, just overwhelms me with gratitude. This verse says it all: "And you, being dead in your sins...has He quickened (made alive) together with Him, having forgiven you all trespasses; Blotting out the handwriting of ordinances that was against us, which was contrary to us, and took it out of the way, NAILING IT TO HIS CROSS." Colossians 2:13-14. <*)))><

By granting blessings I don't deserve--not the least of which is the sacrifice of His Son and sending the Holy Spirit to dwell within. Soli Gloria Deo!
