The Bible really doesn't specifically tell us what date. God must believe the exact date is not the focus; worshipping Christ is. The Biblical accounts of the fall Holy Days, seem to indicate that Christ was actually born in the fall, around the Feast of Trumpets. (which is likely to be the time that Christ returns)

December 25th is not Biblical. Lots of people know this, and know it's a Pagan celebration,.

Its actually not possible to find out the exact birthdate, infact its not even possible to find out the exact year. Some sources state 6 B.C.E. others 4 B.C.E . Many people beleive its 6th of january , read below for the actual reason.

According to a Roman almanac, the Christian festival of christmas was celebrated in Rome by AD 336. In the eastern part of the Roman Empire, however, a festival on January 6 commemorated the manifestation of God in both the birth and the baptism ofJesus, except in Jerusalem, where only the birth was celebrated. During the 4th centurythe celebration of Christ's birth on December 25 was gradually adopted by most Eastern
churches.

Most biblical scholars and preachers readily admit that they know Christ was not born on December 25th. However, they claim that this day is as good as any other to celebrate the birth of Jesus, despite the fact that it was originally a pagan celebration called Saturnalia which commemorated the birth of the sun god.

The most likely year that Jesus was born, is 6BC, probably in the
month of March. There was no year 0 (zero) recorded, so the 2nd
millennium celebration of the birth of Jesus should have been held in March 1995. But considering that Nativity was not celebrated at all for the first 300-or-so years, and that Christmas became widely popular only in the 19th Century, it remains remarkable that the birthday of Jesus Christ today is one of the biggest industries in the world.

Have a nice day...
:)

Was Jesus born on December 25? There is no evidence for this date. So then, who decided that Jesus' birth would be celebrated on that date? The early Christian church did not celebrate Jesus' birth. It wasn't until A.D. 440 that the church officially proclaimed December 25 as the birth of Christ. This was not based on any religious evidence but on a pagan feast. Saturnalia was a tradition inherited by the Roman pagans from an earlier Babylonian priesthood. December 25 was used as a celebration of the birthday of the sun god. It was observed near the winter solstice.

Just type: birth Jesus 25 december
in Google and you'll find it. It just takes a little efford.

The 25th of December is not Jesus' birthday. He was born in the month of April, when lambs are born under the sign of the lamb.
During the December period the weather does not permit for the journey Mary and Joseph did to Bethlehem. During this time the flocks are shut inside thus they wouldn't have found a place to lodge for the night.
The 25th of December was rather a mass day/ celebration of the birthday of the sun god and it was encorporated into christianity at the Nicea council.
He was born in the month of April and was crucified in the same month at the age of 33years.

Lieselot h has given you accurate information. It is fairly easy to ascertain the origin of the date December 25th - reference works point this out. A careful consideration of all Bible iinformation - such as Christ's birth in relation to Herod's death; in relation to the ministry of John the Baptist and the evidence for Christ's own ministry which lasted 3 ½ years and included four Passovers, leads to the conclusion that he was probably born in the month of Ethanim (which corresponds to September/October).

Why isn't the exact date of his birth recorded in the Bible? There are probably several reasons, not the least of which is the fact that God decided it was not important. His life, his ministry and his death are the most important. It is even as Ecclesiastes 7:1 says: the day of one's death is better than the day of one's being born.

It is noteworthy that Christ himself commanded his followers to memorialize his death - not his birth.

In September

It is not in December. I read somewhere that Jesus it thought to have been born in September, but nobody really knows for sure exactly when he was born. The church only claimed that he was born in December so that they'd have an excuse to celebrate at that time of the year. They wanted to attract converts who were used to celebrating Pagan festivals in December.

The Bible does not say and it really does not make any difference. It was set on December 25th to coincide with the Roman celebration of their god Saturn as a convenience. God wants us to worship his Son every day and not on a single set day of the year. Christmas has become a farce---it is not what God intended.
