To be honest, I find the best rates are generally found on the airlines' respective websites. Do a search on travel website such as www.expedia.co.uk, find the cheapest flight it offers amongst all of the airlines, and then go directly to that airline's website. Usually the fare will be cheaper as there are no agent's fees to pay.

depends on where you are going and from where you are leaving. Southwest.com or alliagentair.com (not sure if I spelled that correctly) or if you want to check the major airlines I like to use orbitz.com - better than most site. you can get cheap flights by using priceline but then you don't have much of a choice of what time you leave

xcapewithus.com gives only hotel reservations in europe--- no info reg. flights . So best go to google and search for cheap flights.

attempt making use of a voucher like a significant different voucher - if its purely you flying they received't help you yet once you've 2 human beings travelling - they could decrease your airfare fee in 0.5, on significant different and little ones OR global flights! i have used those earlier & had large success :)

cheap flights .com is good or try ryanair or easyjet. sometimes it is cheaper to get one way and then get return when you are there. depends were you are going
