First thing and most popular mistake: Most pupils panic and start learning a lot of stuff. That's senseless, you just overwrite the old things.

Try to keep cool. Leave your classroom. It's crammed with nervousity which could easily infect you. My tactic is to sit down somewhere in a quiet corner, close my eyes and think of nothing. That cleans your head.

Go to bed and get a good night's sleep, as this will help you concentrate. Also you can take some aspirin about an hour before the examination. This may sound crazy, but I know it works! Aspirin thins the blood, thus letting it carry more oxygen to your brain. The more oxygen your brain gets, the sharper you will be at remembering difficult answers. I have tried this with Jeopardy, and when I take the aspirin I get many more of the answers. Hope this helps. Good Luck!!!

Study for the test as best as you can, ensuring that you cover the course material that will be on the exam. Review problems that you previously worked and make sure that you can still work them correctly.

Make sure you get a full nights rest, don't cram until the wee hours of the morning. On the day of your test, eat a good breakfast and give yourself plenty of time to get to your destination. You want to be well rested and refreshed, without any other tensions on your testing day.

Get a lot of rest. Study in a well lit room without any distractions or noises. Eat brain food before studying. And don't stress.
