Please dont try stirling house or any of the cheap bikes in catalogues if you value your daughters life, they are crudely made and have nasty cheap parts fitted to them. As said try the free ads papers or even ask in a bike shop as sometimes they get some in to sell on. What would have been ideal for you is to have joined a Christmas club at a bike shop earlier in the year and pay a wee bit each month.
You could even try putting an ad in a shop window for one.
Expect to replace tyres and get it serviced if buying second hand though as most kids bikes sit outside in the rain then get stuffed behind a shed when they get a puncture.
Best of luck
