I know that this will sound very stereotypical but I find that all Irish people are funny! They tell the best jokes, have a great time and are prepared to have a laugh at themselves.

We have heaps of Irish pubs here and there are also lots of Irish descendents.

I would say that the Irish have a very good reputation in Australia. I think that our sense of humour, willingness to give anyone a go, relax and be happy makes both of the cultures very similar.

The Australians probably view the Irish just like we Americans do - a bunch of crazy drunks.
