Spaghetti is always good. It's easy and you can alter the taste depending what sauce you get, and everyone loves it. Don't forget the garlic bread and salad!

in expensive and delcious is my specialty!!
Cajun spiced Tilapia over rice with an alfredo sauce, broccoli on the side. lightly buttered and seasoned. Cheap and easy!!!!
Tilapia is a light flavored white fish. You can buy it frozen real cheap. Spice it with some Cajun seasoning or chilli pepper or your favorite spicey season. Cook on the grill on in the pan (covered) with a little water and fresh squeezed lemon or lemon juice to flavor, until flaky.
At the same time heat some minute rice (brown or white) near the end of cooking you can add some chopped (seeded) tomatoes (1/4 cup will do) then throw some broccoli int he microwave to steam. While hot ad a little butter to flavor, maybe a little veggie spiece. When the fish is done (about twenty minutes) Top it off with alfredo sauce. Just a little for flavor, if they want more then thats up to them... but the alfredo is optional. My crew loves it!
Five star meal for about ten or fifteen dollars. Excellent crowd pleaser.

I make pasta and hidden veggies sauce when I can't think of anything else. Fry onions, peppers, courgette or other squash, aubergine - whatever really and add a couple of tins of tomatoes, some garlic and italian herb mix and any root veggies you have lying around cut up small. Simmer until the veggies are soft Whizz up in blender and serve over pasta with lots cheese on top.
(You don't have to whizz the sauce if everyone eating the sauce will eat all the vegetables you used!)

How about turkey steaks (the one that comes in thin slices)? Just season them lightly with salt, pepper, soya sauce, wine, sugar (only a little of everything, please). Fry them in some olive oil until they are evenly browned on both sides (they are cooked easily so don't cook for too long). Remove them from the pan when they are cooked. Throw some cherry tomatoes into the pan and add a small amount of water. Add a little Balsamic vinegar and sugar and let it thicken a bit. (If necessary, thicken with cornflour --- mixed with a little water first). Pour the sauce onto the turkey steaks. Serve with rice, noodles or potatoes with some green salad.

try simple pasta recipes, with some creativity and sense of presentation and willing to do some hard work, you can make a fantastic meal .
with pasta you just boil it nice and firm, keep it in the water so it doesnt go dry and be creative with sauces - you can either for the creamy white sause and cheese or hot sauces with tomatoes /onions and vegetables of your choice and oven them with cheddar on top.
if you fancy trying some indian cooking
go to www.tarladalal.com and click on free recipes.
there are also hundreds of 'contributed recipes' which you will find quite useful
i have tried a lot of recipes from this site and they all work provided you stick to the instructions
good luck

I made a veggie stew last night with potatoes, carrots, sweet potatoes,
parsnips, celery and some salt and pepper in my crock pot. When I got
home I made some biscuits and added a package of veggie ground round
to the stew. (It is actually soy) It was delicious!
