Lightly poach in a herb and martini wine sauce, thicken with double cream plus a bit of arrowroot or cornflour for extra thickness. Serve with new potoatoes, green beans type of veg . Or just grill with a brush of Olive oil and serve with a salad and crusty bread.

Herbs for poaching:
Lemon Grass and Bay Leaves, parsley

My library where I am typing this had a fire alarm while I was half way through the answer so I lost it!!! Hope I can remember what I was saying ...... Ho, yes.

If it is smoked salmon already try cutting it into thin strips and adding to scrambled eggs last minute. It does not need cooking as this takes place during the smoking process.

Make a light pasta sauce perhaps with some dill weed or caraway seed and add the smoked salmon again in strips last minute and serve with your favourite pasta and salad.

Put some on open faced sandwiches with horseradish (or caviar) served with a lemon wedge to squeeze over it.

It is very rich and can be quite sickly when eaten in quantity which is why it is best to eat small quantities. Cover leftovers and put in fridge with a little lemon and use for sandwiches or omlettes.

Oh my god I cannot believe there are people here telling you to cook smoked Salmon !!!!!

Smoked Salmon is already cooked, hence why it is called Smoked Salmon.

It's cooked by hanging the fish over some smoldering wood chips (or other material for that matter) and the smoke rises and cooks through and flavours the fish.

If you have fillet of Smoked Salmon you should just slice it up and cover it with a complimenting sauce or dressing. Just simple with it and enjoy it's delicate flavour, cooking any further would ruin it.

Dill goes especially well with Salmon, add some to a light vinagrette and pour it over, yummy.

I would assume since you are asking how to cook something, that it started out uncooked. The qualifier in the header really wasn't necessary. Despite that, the only way i know how to do it is on a charcoal grill. The key is indirect heat. Start by stacking the coals in a pyramid and lighting them, burning until they have a coat of gray ash. Then, spread them out in either a donut shape or pushed to one side, and place the fish above an area of no coals. Put the cover on the grill with the vent partially open and let the heat circulate through the grill instead of the coals directly heating from below. It takes a good while to cook this way. You'd be better off looking for recipes online for the rest of your question though - all i know is the grilling aspect.

Actually you don't have to. Cold smoked salmon can be eaten as is. My favorite would be on a bagel with a little cream cheese.
If you must cook it, slice it (top to bottom wise) into strips and you can toss it into scrambled eggs and pastas etc. Cold smoked salmon are usually cured with salt or brine so a little goes a long way.

Very slowly wrapped in foil under the grill put lemon on the Salmon first. Do not add anything except the lemon juice so you do not change the original smoked salmon
taste

A really easy way to sook a salmon fillet/steak is squeeze some lemon juice over it, season with pepper and herbs (what ever your preference) then pop it in the microwave (covering with cling film) for 3-4 mins.. Really delish...

if it is smoked salmon then you don't need to cook it just serve it with lemon juice brown bread and pepper.....or with cream cheese ,or a salad, the smoked filets are already cooked. but if you feel you must cook it then add it to scrambled eggs just before serving.
