being present? My Fiance and I are both deployed to Afgan. and we would like to get married while we are here, but cant go home to get issued a marriage license.

To answer your question, that would be up to the laws where you live. Never hurts to send an e-mail and find out.
That is a civy matter not really a military matter. But as someone else suggested you chaplin can help you accomplish what you need to do.

doubt very seriously you will get permission to do so.

The military have squat to do with issuing marriage licenses. That is strictly a civilian /local government matter.

besides it would be a pian to try to get you in the d.e.e.r.s system and you wouldnt see any pay changes until you got back anyway
