Hi, I am doing work experience next year, and I need to start thinking about my placement.
I want to work in computers, as in software development, but, I don't know how to get experience with a computer company, how do I find them? Any near Leicester would be great, is there a database somewhere for work experience?

Try asking some of the IT Departments of the companies near you. Some companies have software that they have written themselves or have been written specially for them.
That way you will gain experience working with all the major software packages as well as the individual specialist packages.

It depends upon the location near you. Search for IT software development companies near you or start by developing your own projects. Once you are comfortable with the technology you won't find any problems getting a job.

Go to the Website of Dell - Hewlett Packard , Sony Etc. they all have "Job Opportunities" sections , --- Maybe Helpfull to you ??? Good Luck

You could even ask any major company, as they will most probably have an IT department, and so could ask to help in there. Your Careers adviser will be able to help also.
