People used to say that if one knows english then doesn't exist any problem to come by a job in Sweden but I think it's not truth because i moved out to Sweden a couple weeks ago and I have a lot of obsticle on my way to find some job.

Within some industries, speaking English is the norm here (IT for instance, and some divisions in big international companies) but you need to have therefore excellent English too.

But honestly, it is _much_ harder to get a job in Sweden without speaking Swedish.

You have free Swedish education available to you, do use it. It'll help immensely (and employers like to see you are doing the SFI courses, it helps with job offers even if you don't need to speak swedish at work, and you haven't finished the course yet.)

A couple of weeks though, is not long. Keep trying.

Sweden has a incredibly high English literacy rate. You own't run into to too many problems verbally communicating, so learning Swedish before you go should help in time =)

There are many construction company's in Sweden owned by Americans and the British. Caterpillar and Michigan also have plants there. Also Dock workers and most waterfront job site are multilingual.

Everyone in the world wants to speak English now, here in America we have people who can't speak English and they still work
