We are not biologically designed to be monogamous. We can do it, but it goes against our natural inclinations.

I have no clue, I've found the opposite and had more men that are faithful. Maybe you let the relationship go on after you should have ended it and they cheated? I dunno for sure why you have had the experiences you have had, but I wish I could make it better for you. There are good guys and gals out there, I promise. It just takes some work to find them.
Ya know, someone below reminded me of something. As women, we have a responsibility to each other NOT to let a man in a relationship cheat. It is true to some extent that they do it because they can, it is also true that there is another woman involved. I have lost count of the number of times I have told my friends not to 'be that woman', just so not be the woman that cannot control herself and is with a man she knows is in a relationship.

Wow are we perceived to be that bad. My father and my grandfather(s) and myself and most of my brothers and male cousins in my family are th faithful kind and treat the person we love with dignity and respect. That does not mean life is always perfect, etc. but not all guys are what you think they are. However, unfortunately alot of guys (and girls too ...especially in Asia where I now live) are unfaithful. Those who are unfaithful probably never REALLY loved the person they are with in the first place. The other reason may be due to unusually high sex drive most of us guys have...including me. That can drive some guys to find a new sexual partner and thus become unfaithful if they have no self control.

Trust me they all do love there partner, well at least the one they are with at the time. Remember for every man being unfaithfull there is normally a woman involved aswell. Typically men have a need to sow the seed its natural, its in the genes thats how our species survives. I think the major problem is more to do with women not being attentive enough to there mans mannly needs!!

Because most don't know the meaning of 'true love'. Unfortunately it seems that you haven't yet come across someone who truly loves you.
Men will be unfaithful because their brains are hardwired from pre- historic times to keep looking for partners in an attempt to procreate and keep the 'tribe' growing. And with the numerous 'distractions' available & dwindling sex ratio of men vis-a-vis women all over the world, this is only getting sharper.
So be on the watchout for someone who truly loves you. It's always going to be a hit and try method. Just don't stop loving.

sounds like you have been unlucky. but i see where your coming from. some guys cant help themselves sometimes they are like animals. but you cant say you love someone and go sleep with someone else it doesn't work like that if you love someone then you'll be faithfull to them that's the way it is. not all men are like that but you have to kiss a lot of toads to find your prince. don't let what you have seen dampenen your faith in men trust me they arnt all like that i think its just bad luck to have watched this happen from all angles. my advise for you is go and find new groups of friends. everyone or i should say alot of people will experience being cheated on in some point in life sadly but it doesn't mean youl experience it. so don't worry.

when you have been with someone more thanabout a year the exitement and lust tend to die down. Some women tend to let themselves go by putting on weight, dressing like a slob round the house and not keeping up to date with things like armpit and leg shaving.i know these things may seem shallow but thats how it is.women and men make a big effort in the early days so why stop making the same effort later on in the relationship.i think most men would cheat if offered it on a plate and they thought they would not get caught.but to be fair a lot of men get cheated on too.i dont think anyone can trust their partmer 100%.always be on your guard.

first of all I really would like to thank you for not saying every men,
second there is a saying I know might help to figure this out.
the saying says ( the heart of a man is a big hotel that can be occupied by many visitors, while the heart of a women is like a room in a motel can't be occupied by more that one)
the hitch from this, is when a man say "I love you" he probably mean it, but for sure he also love or will love another. but when a woman say I love you, that mean she loves one person only.

Although I am totally faithful, I do personally believe its biologoical or genetic or something to that effect that men have a natural urge to spread their seed. The best example to back this up is to look at our closest natural relatives the chimps, who have many mating partners in their lifetime, with no loyalty to any one partner (and that goes for the women too!)
Being faithful is something that society stipulates - not nature.

my best friend always says .........Men are stupid fools with no sense of the consequences that could follow, give them the space and the opportunity to cheat and they'll all do it, love or no love. Let them fcuk up once, if they really are sorry, but not twice for forgiveness.
Could have something in it?.... it did help me out once
